Charlton Heston stars as John Thornton in this rousing, authentic version of Jack London's classic novel. It's a tough life for the dogs and men who are looking for gold in the frozen tundra of the Yukon. One very special German Shepherd, named Buck, was plucked from his peaceful life in the States and brought to Alaska to run the sleds. John Thornton befriends this dog, and they team up for adventure.
