Falcon Gentle

This program begins with a short history of falconry, then documents the training of the now-rare peregrine falcon. Scenes of the hunt photographed in the hills of Scotland feature the only sequences recorded on film of actual falcon strikes. The remarkable, slow- motion footage permits viewers to see maneuvers and detail no falconer has been able to see in the field.
